International Baccalaureate Programme

The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

To this end the organization works with schools, governments, and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.

These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate, and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

The Primary Years Programme (PYP) is for students between the ages of 3 and 12 years. It is an international, transdisciplinary programme designed to foster the development of the whole child. The inquiry-based approach to learning addresses social, physical, emotional, and cultural needs in addition to academic progress. At Nadine Kujawa Education Center, the goal of the Primary Years Programme is for each student to become a lifelong learner who is an active, responsible world citizen. Each student attending Nadine Kujawa Education Center should strive to be an inquirer, thinker, communicator, and risk-taker who is knowledgeable, principled, caring, open-minded, balanced, and reflective. The PYP combines the best research and practice to create a rigorous, relevant, and engaging framework for all children.
